Analysis of the reasons why pet dogs and cats are severely shedding hair
I believe that pet friends who raise pet dogs and pet cats have a headache, that is, pets shed more hair and get them everywhere in the house, and even when eating, you can find pet hair in the bowl. So why do pet dogs and cats shed a lot? Many pet friends think it is just caused by pet malnutrition. In fact, there are many factors besides this. Let me introduce it to parents below:
1. Seasonal hair loss
Spring and autumn are the seasons for most cats and dogs to remove hair. Long-haired dogs like Shepherds and Chow Chows, as the weather gets hotter, they don’t need thick hair in winter, so as to remove some of the old hair to regulate body temperature. On the contrary, when winter comes, they will take off their thick hair and replace their fluff to resist the cold winter. The same goes for cats.
Note: During this period, comb the dog's hair a few more times a day and clean the hair dough to prevent the whole house from flying (it's best to be outdoors, such as stairwells and open space downstairs).
2. Diseases lead to a large amount of hair loss. Dogs suffer from skin diseases such as folliculitis or eczema, or parasitizing a large number of dog lice and fleas, which can also cause a large amount of hair loss. Dogs will scratch their fur with their paws and teeth because of the itchy dog itch, and they will also scratch and remove a large amount of dog hair.
For cats, pay special attention to ringworm, which is more contagious. Once a cat is found to be infected with ringworm, it must be isolated. Do not let sick cats come into contact with other healthy cats to prevent ringworm from spreading again.
Note: If you have a lot of hair loss (bad one by one), you should consider whether it is a skin disease and consult a relevant doctor or experienced person in time to prescribe the right medicine.
3. Malnutrition causes hair loss
If the body lacks nutrition, the cat's physical development and growth will inevitably be affected, and the cat's hair will become rough and matte, and hair loss will also occur. In addition, natural environments such as sunlight and temperature will also affect the growth of dog hair. If a puppy does not shine in the sun for a long time and keeps it indoors for many years, it will also cause slight hair loss throughout the year.
Note: Good sun exposure helps to ensure the health of the dog's fur; different nutrients can be supplemented according to the situation to ensure a balanced nutrition of the pet.
4. If you eat too much salty portion, you will not pay attention to your diet and consume too much salt, it will cause burden on the kidneys of cats and dogs and dry hair. Dog and cat food is salt-containing, which can ensure their muscle strength, but has professional proportional control. The salt content in our daily meals is obviously high, and the long-term intake of these things will affect the pet's fur.
Note: Try not to eat less food for pets or to eat less for people. Eat less if there are other condiments to ensure a healthy diet.
5. Improper bathing supplies/I can’t use shampoo for people if I take a bath frequently. Because dogs' skin tends to be neutral, most of our shampoos tend to be alkaline. Long-term use of our shampoo will make its skin dry, and bacteria and mites will take advantage of the situation and cause serious hair loss. In addition, taking a frequent bathing time will cause great damage to the normal protective substances secreted by the skin.
Note: It is recommended to use dog-specific detergents for dogs. The number of baths should not be too frequent and should be reasonably controlled.
6. Emotional hair loss
Most parents often ignore this situation. In fact, fear, tension, and worry can lead to hair loss.
Note: The owner should interact with the baby frequently to eliminate their tension and fear.
