What should I do if a kitten doesn’t open his mouth and eats breastfeeding?

If the kitten does not open his mouth to feed and needs artificial help, you can hug the kitten and gently press the corners of the mouth on both sides, open the mouth, and gently press the nipple with the other hand to promote the secretion of milk. Then put the nipple with milk into the kitten's mouth, and the kitten will slowly start sucking.

If the kitten is placed next to the female cat's nipples, but it still does not open its mouth, the breeder can put the little finger into the kitten's mouth to let it learn to suck. Note that the little finger needs to be cleaned and disinfected in advance to avoid bacterial residues, otherwise the kitten will easily bring bacteria into the body and experience diarrhea and vomiting.

If the kitten cannot learn to suck and eat milk, you can choose to feed it manually. You can feed it with a spoon, syringe or a bottle. Be careful not to feed it too fast to avoid being choked. When feeding, you need to eat less and more meals, and feed it every 2 to 3 hours. After you find that the kitten's abdomen is slightly raised, you can stop feeding.
