Slott: I did lose some top players this season, but our signings are also excellent
At 3 am tonight, the Premier League opener was held, and Liverpool played against Bournemouth at home. Before the game, Liverpool coach Slott was interviewed by Sky Sports.
■ Talking about the number of signings for clubs this summer
Slott said: "In a club like Liverpool, player movement is normal, and personnel replacement is also normal, otherwise we would have to use U18 players today, which is obviously not a wise move. We sold a lot of people, so we signed a lot of people. Of course, we did lose some very good players, but the players we brought in are also very special."
■ Regarding the question of losing too many goals in the preseason
"If you look at the data, you are right. Overall, I don't think we gave our opponents a lot of opportunities, but once we gave them, the opponent can almost score goals. We lost almost more goals in the preseason than the whole season last season."
