Can cats be walked?
Have you ever seen someone walking a cat? Just hold the leash, like walking a dog. Everyone was puzzled by this behavior, and even after this person left, they secretly laughed at him for trying to attract attention, right? Is this considered cat abuse?

Some American scholars once conducted an experiment and found that cats playing outdoors are happier than cats indoors and can freely carry out instinctive behaviors. For example, claw grinding can also effectively reduce the wear and tear of furniture. And because the outside world is bigger, they will smell and feel more things, which will greatly stimulate their curiosity and reduce the chance of obesity while walking around and exploring!

But this does not mean that I recommend walking cats outdoors. Every cat has different personality preferences. If your cat was once a stray cat, it may prefer to go out for activities; if you have a cat that has been injured or has never left indoors, it may be very sensitive and afraid of the outside world.
So before traveling with cats, we need to be fully prepared. There is only one chance! If there is no way to succeed, it will be difficult to take them out later...it will be difficult to reach the sky!

If you want to take a cat out, you must do the following:
· There are identifiable signs on the body, such as a nameplate;
· The cat has been neutered, which can prevent it from escaping due to heat;
· Try not to take it out during times when there are the most people/traffic, as it will only scare it;
· It is best to go home before dark, otherwise you may be irritated by the headlights;
· Try not to run into haystacks, avoid contact with pesticides or other dangerous items, and accidentally eat poisonous plants;
· Do not go to fountains or ponds to avoid cats accidentally falling in;
Of course we cannot ignore the possibility that cats accept leashes but cannot tolerate walking outdoors. But there is no need to force it. In fact, 70% of cats have never left the house and can live healthy and happy lives with their owners. We can enrich indoor activities and increase the fun of cats’ lives.

For example, place some climbing frames for cats in several areas of your home so that they can climb and play; add several resting areas near the windows to satisfy cats' curiosity about the outside world; or buy some toys such as cat sticks and whack-a-mole so that they can play to their heart's content~
The original intention of walking a cat is to make the cat happy. If it doesn't like it, then don't force it!
