Amorin: The team still needs to improve, such as speed and some details

Manchester United drew 0-0 with Leeds United in the first preseason this summer. After the game, coach Amorin talked about some of the issues exposed by the team in an interview with Manchester United's official media.

He said: "As a preseason, sometimes the distance between our zones is too big. When we try to press high, the opponent takes the ball high and wins the second landing point, which is a threat to us. We are not at speed, especially in the middle, which is also obvious, so it is difficult to push the ball forward, but we still create some opportunities.

"The team has a lot of work to do, but it's just the first test against the Premier League team, both teams have sent different squads, so it's a good test." I think the atmosphere in the team is very good. Sometimes we encounter difficulties, but from the beginning I felt that we were able to face these difficulties together, which is the most important starting point.

"Next we have to show our strength, which means that this club not only needs to work hard, but also high quality, and you need to win the game. We still have a lot to improve, such as speed and some details, and the team will continue to improve."

Next week, the Red Devils will go to the United States to participate in the Premier League Summer Series, with the opponent in the first game being West Ham United. Amorin looks forward to interacting with Manchester United fans around the world.

He said: "Like the last tour, we feel that fans should get more from the team, which is what we will do. It is the responsibility of the team to interact with the fans, and we all have this awareness. We will be very close to the fans, and that's what Manchester United should do."
