Berta: Eze is full of creativity and explosiveness, and outstanding skills are also a big player

Arsenal officials are pleased to announce that Eze has signed a long-term contract with the club.

The 27-year-old England international is back in North London where his football career began. Eze was a member of the Arsenal youth training camp and gradually grew into one of the most dynamic offensive geniuses in the Premier League. In 2016, Eze joined the Queens Park Rangers and made his mark in the 2019/20 season and was named QPR Player of the Year. He then transferred to Crystal Palace in 2020. Eze made more than 150 appearances in his five seasons at Selhurst Park. His highlight was in May this year, when he scored a winning goal in the FA Cup final, helping Crystal Palace defeat Manchester City historic victory.

In the international arena, Eze played for England in the youth team and made his debut in the adult national team in 2023. So far, he has made 11 appearances for England and has been selected for the 2024 European Cup lineup. In March this year, he scored his first national team goal in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

Sports Director Andrea Berta said: "We are very happy to complete this deal and bring Eze to Arsenal. Eze is a creative and explosive talented player with outstanding skills and a big game player. His experience in the England national team has also proved his strength and character."

"The club worked together to promote this transfer. We firmly believe that Eze will become an important supplement to the team and help us succeed in the future."

Head coach "We are very happy to be able to bring Eze to Arsenal. He is a strong and exciting player who will bring new dimensions to our offense. In addition to his talent and intelligence, his spirit of continuous hard work in his career is equally impressive."

"His experience, mentality and ambition are exactly what our team needs. We are very looking forward to working with Eze."

Eze will wear a No. 10 jersey and will meet with new teammates after this weekend's game against Leeds United. All Arsenal members welcome Eze to the club. The transfer still needs to complete relevant regulatory procedures.
