In the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, Fruminense lost to Chelsea 0-2 and missed the final.

Flamenco, who is both Rio de Janeiro team with Fruminense, posted the lyrics of cheering: "In Rio, no other team can compete with us."

In the second round of the Club World Cup group stage, Flamenco defeated Chelsea 3-1.
