TA: Menu clearly stated to Manchester United that he hopes to be loaned out before the World Cup to get playing time

According to The Athletic, Maynu has informed Manchester United that he hopes to leave the team on loan before the summer window is closed to get a stable first-team game opportunity.

Manu told Manchester United in talks on Thursday that although he had no intention of breaking ties with the club he had played for since childhood, he believes that the current situation is not conducive to the development of his football career. Menu has made it clear that he hopes to leave Manchester United temporarily for continued playing time, especially before he may play next year’s World Cup.

Manchester United expressed his refusal to approve the loan deal to Menu. The club attaches great importance to the youth training graduate and expects him to leave a competitive position.

Menu did not play in the first two rounds of the Premier League in the new season. He started in a second round defeat against Grimsby on Wednesday in the League Cup.

Menu's most recent contract renewal was in February 2023, with the existing contract expiration until the summer of 2027, with one-year priority renewal clauses. The contract signed in 2023 includes incremental salary clauses based on performance fluctuations.

Menu made her Premier League debut in November 2023 and became the main force of Tenghach's lineup in the rest of the season, starting 24 games in the last 26 rounds of the 2023-24 season. This season, he played 32 games for Manchester United in various competitions, including the winning goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

After Amorin took over as head coach in November last year, Menu still maintained regular appearances, but then missed for nearly two months due to a muscle injury during training. After returning in April, he missed only two Premier League games and started all of them, but served as a substitute in the later stages of Manchester United's advance to the Europa League final.
