ASML former engineer involved in cryptocurrency technology to Russia, and was sentenced to three years by a Dutch court

According to foreign media reports, German Aksenov, a Russian engineer who was a former Russian engineer at ASML and NXP, was sentenced to three years in prison by a Dutch court this Thursday for illegally retrieving and sharing sensitive technologies to Russia.
According to court documents, German Aksenov sent confidential technical documents from the two companies to an anonymous Russian contact through communications and cloud tools such as Signal, Telegram and Google Drive, covering detailed suggestions on the technical process and required equipment.
In the written judgment, the court pointed out that providing advice and technology to Russia was extremely serious, and the information blew was considered military purpose and could strengthen Russia's military and strategic capabilities, create a physical threat to Ukraine, and further endanger international security and stability.
Despite the defendant's denial of all charges, the court still believed that his conduct had been illegal technical ejaculation only as a way to maintain personal professional knowledge and was not aware of the matter.
At present, ASML has not issued any responses to the case. NXP said through The Register: "We adopt a zero-tolerance policy for data retrieval and embezzlement. We fully cooperate with the inspection party to investigate, thank them for their efforts, and support the court's judgment."
