Amorin returns to Carrington to prepare for the new season, Manchester United players return to base after holidays next Monday

According to the official website of Manchester United, coach Ruben Amorin returns to Carrington to prepare for the 2025/26 season.

Amorin and his coaching team returned to Carrington Training Base on Friday morning to start the intense work for the upcoming 2025/26 season. United players will return to base on Monday to end their summer holidays, with some returning later this week, but the coach has arrived early.

This is the first time I have seen Amorin since my trip to Asia in late May. While in Hong Kong, the Portuguese coach said he would spend time with his family in June, but he also emphasized the importance of the new season: "Of course, I will spend time with my family, but as I said in a press conference, I am ready for the new season. We have a lot of work to do, a lot of things to prepare for. We have to think about the overall situation of the team and are changing some of the club's facilities. Everything is to be prepared for the new season."

Cunha joined shortly after the team returned to Manchester, while Eriksen, Evans and Lindelof left the team as the contract expired. Last week, Evans was confirmed to have retired and accepted a new position at the club, responsible for player loans and career development paths.

The first game of the new season will be against Leeds United at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on July 19. A few days later, the team will fly to the United States to participate in the Premier League summer series, respectively, against West Ham in New Jersey, Bournemouth in Chicago and Everton in Atlanta.

Manchester United's last game before the 2025/26 season will be against Fiorentina on August 9 at Old Trafford.
