[Official announcement] Pereira no longer serves as head coach of Wolves

Since taking office in December last year, Pereira and his coaching team have quickly made a positive impact at Molineux Stadium, leading the team to successfully avoid relegation in the second half of last season's Premier League.

However, the team's results and performance this season have not met the club's expected standards, so the management believes that adjustments are necessary.

At the same time, eight members of Pereira's coaching staff also left the club. Wolves U21 head coach James Collins and U18 head coach Richard Walker will be temporarily in charge of the team's training until the club finalizes a new first-team coach.

Wolves Executive Chairman Shi Yu said: "Vitor and his team have worked tirelessly for the Wolves and helped us get through the difficult period last season, and we are very grateful for this.

"It is a pity that this season has had a disappointing start. As much as we would love to give the head coach more time and games to look for improvements, now we have to make changes.

"We thank Vittor and his team for their efforts and wish them all the best in the future."
