British media: Manchester United is very dissatisfied with Mbemo s trading process, and Brentford is also angry with Manchester United
Manchester United finally successfully signed Mbemo for a total price of 71 million pounds, but according to the British media Daily Mail, Manchester United is very dissatisfied with how Brentford handles the deal.
Manchester United paid Mbemo a fixed pound of 65 million plus a floating transfer fee of 6 million pounds, and Mbemo agreed to sign a five-year contract that could be extended for another year.
It is reported that Manchester United is dissatisfied with Brentford's delay in negotiations during the transaction, which once raised the asking price to 77 million pounds and also put pressure on Mbemo to lower his salary requirements to facilitate a high-priced transfer to Manchester United, or agree to Tottenham's invitation.
On the other hand, Brentford was also angry at United's initial £55 million and £62.5 million offer, as both offers were significantly lower than Tottenham's bid, and they believed that United offered better personal terms to attract Mbemo.
The Mirror also quoted sources as saying that Brentford originally asked for a price of 70 million pounds + 7 million pounds, but Manchester United managed to push the price down. Brentford believes that Manchester United has reached a high-paying deal with Mbemo (reported that Manchester United will give players £200,000 per week) in order to disqualify other clubs from competing for him before negotiating at a lower starting price.
