FA Official: 74 financial charges filed against Chelsea, involving 2009-2022

The FA released an official announcement today, filing 74 financial charges against Chelsea, and the team needs to respond to this before September 19, 2025.

The English Football Association today filed charges against Chelsea Football Club, which violated the J1 and C2 sections of the FA Football Brokers Ordinance, the A2 and A3 sections of the FA Intermediary Cooperation Ordinance, and the A1 and B3 sections of the FA Third Party Players Investment Ordinance. Chelsea club faces a total of 74 charges involving violations between 2009 and 2022, mainly concentrated between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons. Chelsea Club needs to respond to this before September 19, 2025.

Former Chelsea boss Abramovich acquired Chelsea in 2003 and was forced to sell in 2022. The FA's allegation period happened to be during Abramovich's time in charge of Chelsea.
