Joao Pedro: We can learn lessons from the Champions League and must learn to stay focused throughout the game

Joao Pedro recently accepted an interview with Chelsea's official media and talked about the team's situation.

In the past four games, Chelsea has played against Sunderland, Wolves, Tottenham and Qarabach, and has achieved two wins, one draw and one loss. In the Champions League, the Blues were in control most of the time, but a sluggish performance in stoppage time in the first half meant the team conceded two goals in a row and fell into a tough battle.

Joao Pedro pointed out that such game segments may cost the team. He doesn't want this to become a long-term problem: "We started well and controlled the game, but then complicated the situation. Our concentration dropped, and once we relaxed, the opponent would score. To win the Champions League, you must maintain 100% concentration throughout the entire process."

"We can learn a lot from this. We have to learn to stay focused throughout the game, because if we start losing points in the Premier League, it will be difficult to get into the Champions League next year."

After scoring the winning goal in North London, Joao Pedro played 70 minutes in Azerbaijan. He is one of the players that the team focuses on managing playing time to deal with the risk of injuries that may arise from the intensive schedule in these months.

He explained: "I am always eager to play and always ready. Although it is difficult, I want to play in every game. The team is managing me, but I am in good shape and eager to play in every game."
