Rooney: Maguire should be included in the World Cup squad, he has both leadership and set-piece killer

Rooney talked about Maguire on his podcast "The Wayne Rooney Show" and he believed that the Manchester United defender should be included in England's next squad.
Maguire has not played for England for more than a year, and he has not yet played under Tuchel. Rooney said: "For me, Maguire's performance today showed why he should be in the World Cup squad, I really think so, I think he is very important."
"I heard Hasselbaink talking about his role in the England team, saying what an important leader he is, the players look up to him, and the same is true at Manchester United."
"When he was stripped of the captain's armband, he could have completely made a choice and wanted to leave. It's not easy for any player. It's a huge blow to your ego when that happens and he has to be there, supporting Bruno as captain and not starting every game, sometimes just coming on as a substitute for the last ten minutes of the game. "He came on today and was really good again, showed leadership and he's a threat, the set pieces are very important."
