Stocks available on Thursday

1) Singtel turned losses into profits in the second half of fiscal year 2025, with a net profit of 2.785.8 million yuan. In comparison, it lost 1.341.4 million yuan in the same period last year; revenue increased by 0.77% year-on-year to 7.154.2 million yuan.

The Singapore Straits Times index was almost flat on Wednesday, up only 0.05 points to close at 3882.55 points.

2) Willas-Array Electronics announced that in the nine months ended December 31 last year, the losses faced by the company narrowed to HK$61.6 million, compared with the loss of HK$169.3 million in the same period last year; revenue fell 31% year-on-year to HK$1.828.9 million.

The Wang family proposed an offer in January this year. Previously, the Wang family had privatized Lian Beng Group in 2023, and Lianming Group holds approximately 77.6% of the shares of Xinlianming Development.

The 30-year U.S. Treasury bond yield reached 5.09%, hitting its high since October 2023; the 10-year U.S. Treasury bond yield rose to 4.59%.

Meanwhile, Xin Telecom also proposed a dividend of 10 cents per share, including a core dividend of 6.7 cents and a value-realized dividend of 3.3 cents. In this way, Xin Telecom distributed a total of 17 cents of dividends per share in fiscal year 2025, up 13% year-on-year.

On Wednesday, Xinlianming Development's share price remained flat at 0.23 yuan.

3) SLB Development announced that the privatization offer made by the board of directors of the joint group composed of the controlling shareholder Wang family has been approved by most shareholders, and the company is expected to be officially delisted and removed from the market around July 2.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.91% on Wednesday, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq fell 1.61% and 1.41% respectively.

The market is quite worried that the new tax bill will push up the US deficit. Sam Stovall, director of research investment at CFRA, said: "The market is paying attention to whether the passing of the tax bill will increase debt levels, which is why long-term Treasury yields are rising. Investors are worried that we have not actually taken any measures to slow inflation and reduce debt."

Viyali Electronics closed at 0.46 yuan on Wednesday, with no ups and downs.

The rise in U.S. Treasury yields, coupled with market concerns that the new tax bill has increased pressure on the U.S. deficit, the three major U.S. stock indexes fell together on Wednesday (May 21), ranging from 1.41% to 1.91%.

New Telecom rose 1.05% to 3.85 yuan on Wednesday.
